For the comfort of all guests, we ask that children are not present during your visit. The Collective understands that occasionally bringing your children is necessary in some cases as well as in the event that your child has an appointment with us. In this case, for their safety, please make sure that children are supervised at all times and that they are seated in the designated areas.


We know your time is valuable. We also respect that your schedule changes, sometimes suddenly. For us to best serve you and other clients, it’s vital we know our stylists’ schedules in advance. This helps them prepare for you and the services you are planning. Cancellations make this difficult. With little notice, stylists often cannot fill your appointment slot, which results in lost revenue for their day and week.

After one cancellation or reschedule within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment, your credit card on file will automatically be charged 50 percent of the booked services. If you “no-show” your appointment, you will automatically be charged 100 percent of the booked services.

This helps us account for lost time in the stylist’s schedule, as well as any products purchased or prepared for your appointment.

As of January 15, 2023 we will require a credit card on file to book a future appointment, and we will be enforcing the standing and updated cancellation and rescheduling policies. Prior cancellations and rescheduled appointments will be factored into future cancellations.

Refund Policy

Our goal is for you to always be completely satisfied with your service. We will work with you to make adjustments to any service you received within two weeks of your service. All retouches will be done by the stylist who completed the service.

Sustainability Statement

In an effort to remain sustainable and be conscious of our impact on the environment, The Collective is a Green Circle salon. Green Circle collects 95% of salon waste. We also utilize Vish, a system that measures every ounce of color, allowing us to fully customize cost for every guest. These programs allow us to eliminate/divert and repurpose waste, thus giving us the distinction of being Certified Sustainable and Carbon Neutral. Each guest will incur a small fee to aid in this effort. Additionally, color guests may see an extra charge if they have dense or long hair, have gone longer between sessions, or are having a transformational look done.

Late Arrivals

We understand that circumstances arise that may cause you to be late for your appointment. If you find that you are unable to arrive at your scheduled appointment time, please give us a call at 205-264-9991 and let us know. If you will arrive 10 minutes late or more past your scheduled appointment time, please keep in mind that we may need to reschedule your appointment.
